Steven Isserlis to Perform at Eurasian Stars 2026

The organizers of the Eurasian Stars International Music Festival are delighted to announce the participation of one of the most celebrated musicians of our time, Steven Isserlis, at the 2026 edition of the festival.

Widely regarded as one of the world's leading cellists, Steven Isserlis has built an extraordinary international career distinguished by exceptional artistry, intellectual depth, and a lifelong dedication to musical excellence. His performances have captivated audiences across the globe, earning him acclaim not only as a soloist but also as a chamber musician, educator, author, and broadcaster.

Throughout his remarkable career, Isserlis has appeared with many of the world's most prestigious orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, London Philharmonic Orchestra, and Vienna Philharmonic. Equally at home in chamber music, he has collaborated with some of the most distinguished artists of our era, including Joshua Bell, Sir András Schiff, and Jeremy Denk.

Known for his passionate advocacy of both historical and contemporary repertoire, Isserlis has premiered numerous works by leading composers, including John Tavener, Thomas Adès, and György Kurtág. His recordings, many of which have received major international awards, have established him as one of the most influential cellists of his generation.

Beyond the concert stage, Isserlis is deeply committed to music education. Since 1997, he has served as Artistic Director of the International Musicians' Seminar at Prussia Cove and has inspired countless young musicians through masterclasses, educational projects, and his acclaimed books on classical music for children and young audiences.

His contributions to music have been recognized with numerous honors, including a CBE for services to music, the Schumann Prize of the City of Zwickau, and induction into Gramophone's Hall of Fame—an honor shared by only a select number of living cellists.

At Eurasian Stars 2026, audiences will have the rare opportunity to experience the artistry, wisdom, and musical insight of a performer whose career has shaped the international classical music landscape for decades. His appearance promises to be one of the festival's most anticipated highlights, offering music lovers an unforgettable encounter with one of the true masters of the cello.

Eurasian Stars 2026 continues its tradition of bringing together exceptional artists from around the world, creating a platform where established masters and emerging talents can share their passion for music and inspire future generations.
