The Eurasian Stars International Music Festival proudly welcomes the return of one of Uzbekistan’s most illustrious musical figures, pianist Behzod Abduraimov, to its 2025 edition. From September 22 to October 3, Abduraimov will perform as part of a world-class lineup at the festival’s flagship venues, including the Palace of International Forums and the Turkistan Concert Hall, marking a much-anticipated homecoming for the internationally acclaimed artist.

Renowned for his electrifying performances that blend poetic nuance with astonishing technical command, Abduraimov has graced the stages of the world’s leading concert halls and performed with top-tier orchestras such as the Concertgebouworkest, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Vienna Symphony, and Orchestre de Paris. His collaborations with maestros like Gustavo Dudamel, Semyon Bychkov, and Juraj Valčuha have cemented his reputation as one of today’s most compelling pianists.

The 2023/24 season has seen Abduraimov in high demand, with appearances alongside the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Mozarteumorchester Salzburg, and Sydney Symphony Orchestra, among others. His recital schedule has taken him to venues including Carnegie Hall, La Scala, and Seoul Arts Centre, and he continues to captivate audiences across Europe, North America, and Asia with his signature blend of sensitivity and fire.

Abduraimov’s discography also continues to earn critical acclaim. His most recent album on Alpha Classics—featuring works by Ravel, Prokofiev, and Uzbek composer Dilorom Saidaminova—was released in January 2024 and named Gramophone’s Editor’s Choice, also landing on Apple Music’s list of “10 Classical Albums You Must Hear.” His previous recordings, including Rachmaninov concertos with the Concertgebouworkest and Lucerne Symphony, have been nominated for Opus Klassik Awards and praised for their depth and intensity.

Born in Tashkent in 1990, Abduraimov began his piano studies at age five and has since become a cultural ambassador for his homeland. His triumph at the London International Piano Competition in 2009 launched a major international career. Today, he is Artist-in-Residence at the International Center for Music at Park University in Missouri, continuing to inspire a new generation of pianists.

As Eurasian Stars 2025 seeks once again to build bridges between cultures through music, Behzod Abduraimov’s participation promises to be a highlight of the festival’s seventh edition—an extraordinary celebration of heritage, virtuosity, and the enduring power of classical music.
