Legendary Performers Mikhail Pletnev and Daniel Lozakovich Set to Enchant Audiences at 2025 Eurasian Stars International Music Festival

An extraordinary celebration of classical music, the 7th iteration of the Eurasian Stars International Music Festival in Tashkent, organised by CMDI Events and helmed by Artistic Director Alibek Kabdurakhmanov, welcomes legendary soloists Mikhail Pletnev and Daniel Lozakovich to showcase the best of musical mastery in 2025.

A highly-anticipated event in Uzbekistan's musical calendar, the Eurasian Stars Festival is all set to make a grand return to Tashkent, bringing a lineup of up-and-coming and renowned soloists and ensembles from around the world to celebrate the art of classical music, showcasing incredible artistry and collaborative cultural exchange. Among the talent performing at the celebrated festival's 7th edition include maestros Mikhail Pletnev and Daniel Lozakovich, two of the most prominent names in the realm of classical music.

A brilliant pianist and conductor, Mikhail Pletnev is well-known around the globe as a living legend and one of the finest artists of today. Winner of the Gold Medal and First Prize in the 1978 International Tchaikovsky Competition at the age of 21, he garnered early recognition worldwide, establishing the first independent orchestra in Russia’s history, the Russian National Orchestra, as well as the Mikhail Pletnev Fund, which supports significant national cultural projects. As a member of the Russian Cultural Council, he received the President’s Award in 2007 for his substantial contributions to the country’s artistic life. His recordings have won numerous accolades, including a 2005 Grammy Award for his arrangement for two pianos of Prokofiev’s Cinderella and a Gramophone Award in 1996 for his album Scarlatti’s Keyboard Sonatas (Virgin/EMI). Pletnev’s notable works include Classical Symphony, Triptych for Symphony Orchestra, Fantasy on Kazakh Themes and Capriccio for Piano and Orchestra.

Daniel Lozakovich, on the other hand, is currently one of the most coveted violinists of the 21st century. The young soloist regularly performs with leading orchestras such as the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Filarmonica della Scala in Teatro Alla Scala, Royal Stockholm Philharmonic and Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, among many others, as well as eminent conductors such as Klaus Mäkelä, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Andris Nelsons, Semyon Bychkov, Christoph Eschenbach and Nathalie Stutzmann. He has also played in iconic theatres and auditoriums such as Carnegie Hall, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées and Fondation Louis Vuitton. Lozakovich has received numerous awards, including first prize at the 2016 Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Competition and the Young Artist of the Year 2017 award at the Festival of Nations, along with the Excelentia Prize awarded under the honorary presidency of Queen Sofia of Spain.
