Everything We Know About The Eurasian Stars International Music Festival 2025
An unforgettable tribute to the beauty of classical music featuring world-class soloists and the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan, the 7th iteration of Eurasian Stars International Music Festival, is all set to present a musical event like no other in the culturally vibrant city of Tashkent. The festival, helmed by President Konstantin Ishkhanov and Artistic Director Alibek Kabdurakhmanov, features three dazzling orchestral evenings scheduled to showcase the extraordinary talent of renowned musicians from all over the globe.
Soloists: Leading the lineup of extraordinary performers is none other than Uzbekistan’s very own piano virtuoso, Behzod Abduraimov, First Prize-winner at the 2009 London International Piano Competition, and recipient of the Choc de Classica and Diapason Découverte awards, who has performed with most of the world’s leading orchestras and conductors. Joining him is maestro Mikhail Pletnev, a legendary pianist, conductor, and composer who is considered one of the most respected and influential artists of this era. The festival will also feature Daniel Lozakovich, a young artist who has quickly become one of the most sought-after violinists of the 21st century. More soloists will be announced soon.
Artistic Director: Internationally acclaimed pianist and composer Alibek Kabdurakhmanov, who serves as the Chief Conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra, is a leading figure in Uzbekistan’s musical scene, known for championing contemporary compositions and acclaimed theatre productions and will lead the festival as Artistic Director. A native of Tashkent, he will lead the vision for the Eurasian Stars International Music Festival, building on his distinguished career and deep connection to Uzbekistan’s musical heritage.
Orchestra: Established in 1937, the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan is a leading cultural institution in Central Asia, performing internationally and featuring a diverse repertoire ranging from classical Uzbek masterpieces to contemporary compositions, with a strong emphasis on youth instruction and audience engagement. Reaffirming their status as a prominent name in Uzbekistan's cultural scene, They have participated in the Eurasian Stars International Music Festival for its past four editions and will once again take the spotlight at the 2025 iteration.
Venue: The festival will take place at the Turkistan Concert Hall, a stunning arts facility that hosts regular events ranging from state ceremonies to international performances, exhibitions, and conferences.
