Eurasian Stars 2026 Marks Spectacular Conclusion in Tashkent Following Nine Stunning Concerts
The concluding concert took place at the Alisher Navoi State Academic Grand Theatre, where acclaimed violinist Haik Kazazyan and distinguished cellist Alexander Ramm joined the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan under the baton of Bulgarian conductor Martin Panteleev for a spectacular orchestral finale.
The evening began with Mikhail Glinka's celebrated Overture to Ruslan and Lyudmila, a vibrant and energetic composition which provided a spirited opening to the final performance of Eurasian Stars 2026. Kazazyan and Ramm then took centre stage for Alexey Shor's Concerto for Violin and Cello, a three-movement composition which explores the musical dialogue between two solo instruments through passages of technical brilliance and lyrical expression.
The concert then concluded with Johannes Brahms' magnificent Symphony No. 4 in E minor, the composer's final symphony and one of the greatest achievements of the Romantic orchestral repertoire. Renowned for its emotional depth, the work provided a fitting end to an edition that has been characterised by exceptional music from across the entire spectrum of the classical repertoire.
Reflecting on the successful conclusion of the festival, Artistic Director Alibek Kabdurakhmanov praised the musicians and the international collaborations that had defined the event. "It has been an extraordinary ten days of music, and I am immensely proud of everything we have achieved together. Our orchestra has had the privilege of working with some truly outstanding artists, each of whom has brought something special to the stage. The dedication and enthusiasm demonstrated throughout these concerts have been remarkable, and I would like to thank everyone involved for helping to make this such a memorable edition of Eurasian Stars!"
Meanwhile, speaking following the final concert, Eurasian Stars President Konstantin Ishkhanov expressed his gratitude to all those who had contributed to the festival's success.
"Looking back on these nine concerts, I feel an enormous sense of pride and satisfaction”, he said. “Eurasian Stars has grown into a truly international celebration of music, and it is incredibly rewarding to see so many exceptional artists coming together here in Tashkent. This year's programme has offered audiences a wonderful variety of musical experiences, and I believe it has reflected the very best of what this festival stands for. My sincere thanks go to our Artistic Director, the orchestra, our wonderful musicians, and everyone whose hard work made this edition possible. Most importantly, I would like to thank our audiences, whose enthusiasm and support continue to inspire us to bring these events to Uzbekistan!"
With another successful edition completed, Eurasian Stars further cemented its reputation as an important fixture within the region’s cultural calendar, reaffirming its growing significance as a meeting point for international artistic collaboration and world-class classical music.
