About the Festival
The Eurasian Stars International Music Festival returns to Tashkent in 2026 for its eighth edition, presenting nine concerts which will be primarily hosted at the Alisher Navoi State Academic Grand Theatre from the 10th to the 19th of October. Bringing together internationally renowned soloists, distinguished orchestral musicians, and Uzbekistan’s most important cultural institutions, the festival continues its mission of celebrating classical music as a meeting point between cultures and traditions that transcends borders and boundaries.
At the heart of the 2026 edition will be the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan, appearing as Orchestra-in-Residence, who will be performing under the batons of an eclectic group of preeminent conductors, including Lionel Bringuier (France), Alibek Kabdurakhmanov (Uzbekistan), Johann-Sebastian Guzman (Columbia/USA), Rodrigo Sámano Albarrán (Mexico), Epifanio Comis (Italy), José Salazar (Venezuela), and Martin Panteleev (Bulgaria), to name a few.
Across the festival’s programme, meanwhile, the orchestra will be joined by a remarkable line-up of acclaimed performers, with the soloists counting amongst their number such names as violinists Sergei Dogadin (Austria), Alexandra Tirsu (Moldova/Romania), Nikita Boriso-Glebsky (Belgium), and Haik Kazazyan (Armenia); cellists István Várdai (Hungary), Steven Isserlis (UK), and Edgar Moreau (France); violist David Aaron Carpenter (USA); pianists Yekwon Sunwoo (South Korea), and Philipp Kopachevsky; and the ST DUO, amongst others.
Led by its President, Konstantin Ishkhanov, and Artistic Director Alibek Kabdurakhmanov, this latest iteration of Eurasian Stars promises to offer audiences a rich and varied musical experience, combining virtuoso performances with the depth of the classical repertoire. Each concert will serve as a distinct artistic encounter, bringing together leading international musicians and Uzbek musical excellence on one of the country’s most prestigious stages.
